C. J. (Sid) Thompson

After training at the University of Cambridge Dept. of Metallurgy. Sid joined Cambridge scientific Instruments Ltd as a senior test engineer.
In 1981 he joined LDS as field service engineer where he gained valuable experience in the vibration industry. During his time at LDS he spent a great deal of time at the European Space Agency test facility in the Netherlands and was deeply involved with the installation and commissioning of their multi-shaker system.
In 1986 Sid joined VMS Ltd. As a service engineer where he worked on a range of vibration systems world wide including, Ling Electronic and MB Electronic systems in the USA.
