Vibratech has made a major investment in its armature and field coil winding facilities to ensure delivery of OEM-quality replacement parts.

All stages of the armature re-winding process have been carefully designed and are closely controlled, starting with the removal of the old coil, armature frame cleaning, examination and refinishing. Winding is performed on a purpose-designed jig for each job, ensuring the final coil is within the required dimensional tolerances.

Curing the coil starts by part-curing the resin using radiant heaters while the armature is rotated to ensure even coverage. Once hardened, the armature undergoes a heat-treatment cycle specified by the resin manufacturer and lasting typically 20 hours.

Final test and inspection includes an electrical impedance test and full dimensional inspection.
