Richard (Dick) Abbott (Director)

Following 12 years' regular service in the Royal Air Force joined Pye / Philips in 1973.

After joining Ling Dynamic Systems in 1975 as a Service Engineer, Dick traveled the world working on many major contracts and system installations before being recruited into the newly formed LDS Training Dept. in 1988. During this time Dick had full involvement in training customers in Vibration Technology and Equipment Maintenance. Dick also enjoyed a period of secondment to the Design and Development Dept. Where he worked extensively on the DPA 'K' series amplifier, work that culminated in the 1st field installation at Yuma, Arizona, USA.

Dick continued his service work with Vibration Maintenance Services in 1993 where, as a Senior Engineer, with his level of experience worked on many of their major contracts including the overseeing of an Acoustic Test Facility for British Aerospace at RAF Henlow, Beds. UK.
