True RMS Meter

Vibratech have produced this True RMS meter in response to customer's requirements.

There is still a desire in Test Laboratories to observe trends in acceleration measurements that can be seen more clearly on an analogue meter scale. This instrument will work in conjunction with PC based controllers and give the operator a clear view of accelerometer feedback levels.

Key Features:

  1. True RMS Voltmeter with mirrored analogue scale
  2. Peak and Peak Hold facility
  3. 10 Volt maximum Scaling
  4. Selectable damping facility
  5. Fully compliant with European EMC and Product Safety Directives
  6. CE marked

Full Specifications:

Power supply: 120V/240V ± 6% 50/60Hz.
Input signal: Maximum: 7 volts rms, 10 volts peak.
Frequency range: Meter incorporates low and high frequency filtering 10 Hz to10K Hz.
Meter ranges: 10mV, 30mV, 100mV, 300mV, 1V, 3V, 10V FSD.
Peak Measurement: Using precision rectification indicates positive and negative peak signal values. Maximum peak signal 10V.Captures the maximum of either positive or negative signal peaks. Maximum peak signal 10V.
Peak hold facility: Switch selectable for peak signal measurement Single time constant for RMS measurements to provide stable reading over frequency range 10Hz to10kHz.
Damping: No damping applied to Peak hold measurements to ensure accurate capture of short duration signals.
Circuit technology: Signal processing circuits and power supplies use analogue technology to minimise RFI generation.
Overload indication: Range selected indicator changes from green to red when signal overload occurs.
Input signal protection: Internal circuits fully protected against accidental application of excessive input signals. Dynamic signal clamp to protect front panel meter from overload range.
Compliance: The unit fully complies with applicable European Directives as follows:- Low Voltage Directive 78/23/EEC.
Applicable standard: EMC Directive 89/336/EEC
